Heavy to very heavy rainfall was witnessed in several parts of Tamil Nadu as cyclonic storm Michaung moved towards south Andhra Pradesh coast for landfall.

As the Cyclone ‘Michaung’ approached closer to the coasts, several parts of Tamil Nadu witnessed heavy rainfall. The state government declared December 4 as a holiday.

Several parts of Chennai have been receiving heavy rainfall since Sunday afternoon under the impact of cyclone 'Michaung'. The Tamil Nadu government has declared a public holiday on Monday and has asked private companies and offices to instruct their employees to work from home. (Source: ANI)
