Sengol In New Parliament: Sceptre India's 1st PM Received On Independence

As PM Modi is set to inaugurate the New Parliament on May 28, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday said that the 'Historic Sengol' will be installed in the new building.

Shah said that "The history and significance of the 'sengol' was not known to many. Its installation is an attempt to link our cultural traditions with our modernity.
