After this post written by Vikas on Twitter went viral, Ola Cabs reacted by issuing an apology in the comment section.
New Delhi: In an unpleasant incident that took place in Bengaluru, a man named Vikas Gowda took to the micro-blogging site to share his bad experience after he was forced to leave Ola cab when some rowdies threaten the driver to pay up his past installments. Despite this, Vikas also had to pay more money. He said that if this is how his emergency team works then cab ride is not safe for women, families at all. “*WARNING. AVOID @Olacabs AT ALL COST*”, the tweet started on a firm note.

Had one of the worst, traumatising experiences today. Had booked an outstation trip with @moon_natz and her parents to travel back to Mysore.
An hour and a half into the trip some rowdies come in their two wheelers and create a blockade..
“Had booked an outstation trip with @moon_natz and her parents to travel back to Mysore. An hour and a half into the trip, some rowdies come in their two-wheelers and create a blockade. These rowdies / collection agents threaten the driver to pay up his past installments right at that moment else they'll confiscate the vehicle. They even ask my family members to get down and figure out our ride ahead,” he added.
I ask for this issue to be escalated and in the meantime I go drive down to pick them up as they have pretty much abandoned them on the highway. The agents have already confiscated the car and gone away.

Vikas said that when all this was happening, he was constantly talking to the emergency helpline number given by the cab company. When he explained the whole situation, the customer care agent instead of helping, advised him to book another cab and complete his journey.

"If this is the quality of their emergency response team, after all the untoward incidents that have happened in the ride-hailing space, we still are a long way away from making our cab rides safe for women, families and generally people,” Vikas wrote with concern.
Cherry on top is I receive this, even adding "Additional Distance Fare" 🤬 pic.twitter.com/AscNQ3WLwd

Here is how netizens reacted to the incident:
They also have the worst in app issue resolution mechanism,

1. Raise support issue
2. Responds automatically “we are sorry to hear you faced issue”
3. Auto closes immediately
4. Raise concern again
5. App will thank for the feedback. pic.twitter.com/zY3LMsnqMK
Ola has absolutely no quality control on its drivers. The drivers keep on threatening to leave the riders in the middle of the road, if you insist on turning on the AC (40C+ temperatures in Delhi) despite paying the fare for Prime category.

Hey, this happened to me once last year with Uber. Same story. Travelling from Bangalore to Mysore. Collection agents took the cab. Thankfully we were close to Mysore so took another cab and managed.

I deleted the Ola app from my phone a while ago. They don’t help their drivers or customers. At this rate they will soon implode.
