'Super-Proud': Electra EV Delivers Owner Ratan Tata Special Custom-Made Nano

Ratan Tata has received a custom-made Nano EV. The car has been sent to him by Electra EV which is founded by Tata himself.

New Delhi: Electra EV delivered a custom-made 72V Nano EV to their founder Ratan Tata. Carmaker Electra EV delivers powertrain solutions to Tata motors as well as other automakers.
The company shared the news of the delivery on Thursday, saying that it was a ‘moment of truth’. They further said that they were “super proud” of this delivery while sharing the news on LinkedIn. 

The company shared a picture of Ratan Tata standing next to the Nano EV along with his executive assistant, Shantanu Naidu. Electra EV said in their LinkedIn post, “It is a moment of truth for Team Electra EV when our Founder takes a ride in the custom-built 72V Nano EV, powered by the engineering might of Electra EV's powertrain! We are super proud to deliver Tata's Nano EV and gain insights from his invaluable feedback.” Naidu took to the comments section of the post and said, “It glided more than it drove good job.”

 

This car is said to have a predicted range of up to 160km. The acceleration is of 0-60 kph in less than 10 seconds. Nano EV is powered by super polymer lithium-ion batteries.
The company was founded in 2017 in Pune and supplied critical parts and aggregates ranging from battery systems, traction power and control systems, onboard chargers, and vehicle control units to auto firms. Electra EV announced that more than 25% of total electric four-wheel cars on Indian roads had their powertrain inside them in the financial year 2020.

Electra EV saw a sharp ten-fold escalation in its demand in August 2021. Before that the company was just making 100-150 EV kits a month, it ramped up to an unbelievable 1000 units. The company clocked Rs 115 crore in FY 2020.
