Russia-Ukraine Conflict: Former Miss Ukraine Picks Up Gun To Fight Russian Aggression

New Delhi: The fighting spirit of Ukrainians is being highly praised by netizens all over the world. Stories of civilians taking to the streets to defend their country has shocked everyone. Now, a former Miss Ukraine has come forward to defend her country from Russian attacks.

Anastasia Lenna had represented Ukraine in the Miss Grand International title in 2015. She has now decided to join the military to fight against Russians, according to The New York Post. Lenna shared an Instagram story and said, "Everyone who crosses the Ukrainian border with the intent to invade will be killed!" She even posted several pictures of herself in a combat gear, holding an assault rifle.

Through her posts, Lennal says, she is trying to motivate Ukrainian women and remind them of their strength. Sky News reported that Lenna also posted a message in support of Volodymyr Zelensky, the Ukrainian President. Sharing a picture that shows President Zelensky walking with soldiers, she called him a "true and strong leader".

In another post, she sought international support for her country and even asked her fellow countrymen to take down road signs so that it makes it difficult for the Russian army to navigate through the country.

The former Miss Ukraine is a marketing and management graduate from Slavistik University in Kyiv. She speaks five languages and has even worked as a translator. Lenna was forced to pick up arms after the Russian army invaded Ukraine last week. The conflict has claimed lives of 352 civilians, including 14 children confirmed the Interior Ministry of Ukraine.
