Rajasthan Woman Marries Lord Vishnu In Temple, Know Why

Convincing her family members for the marriage was difficult but they finally agreed, especially her mother.

A woman in Rajasthan's Jaipur has been making headlines for her bizarre marriage. The 30-year-old woman named Pooja Singh had a very unusual marriage ceremony as there was no groom at the wedding. Instead she married Lord Vishnu and shocked everybody by her actions.

A Political Science graduate, Pooja took the decision as she didn't wanted to deal with marital disputes after her wedding. Since childhood she constantly witnessed fights between her parents which made her bitter towards marriage, according to some reports. Another factor for her to take this decision was the continuous questions asked by people about the status of her marriage.

Convincing her family members for the marriage was difficult but they finally agreed, especially her mother.

Pooja married Thakurji on December 8 in a proper wedding ceremony that was attended by 300 family members. All wedding rituals were followed and the Kanyadan was given by her mother as her father, a retired BSF officer, wasn't happy with her decision and didn't attend the wedding, reported Times of India.

The pictures from the marriage have gone viral on social media.
