King Charles Loses Cool Over A Leaky Pen: 'I Can’t Tolerate This Thing'

King Charles visited Northern Ireland to observe mourning for his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, where he was welcomed by cheering crowds before delivering his own commitment to the community.

New Delhi: King Charles had recently expressed his annoyance over a leaky pen while signing a visitor's book in Northern Ireland! This has happened for the second time in a row when the monarch of Britain displayed annoyance in front of the camera.

King Charles visited Northern Ireland as part of a tour of the United Kingdom to observe mourning for his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, where he was welcomed by cheering crowds and heartfelt speeches before delivering his own commitment to the community.

Following that, while signing a visitor's book, King Charles lost his temper in front of cameras at Hillsborough Castle near Belfast, because a pen he was holding spilled over his hands.

He got really annoyed at this and said, "Oh god! I hate this (pen)." He then gave it to his wife, Queen Consort Camilla. As King Charles wiped his fingers, Camilla exclaimed, “Oh look, it’s flowing everywhere!”

King Charles was so angry at the pen, that he kept on muttering as he left, saying- “I can’t tolerate this bloody thing… every stinking time.”

The video of this incident has gone viral over social media and has received over 3.5 million views on twitter. Along with it, comments have been pouring in huge numbers as well.

A user commented, "He absolutely reminds me of my cranky old dad trying to enter his password. “Oh I hate this internet, it never works for me. Why do *they* make it so difficult?”

Another user calls him as 'King Bean!' Moreover, a lot of users sympathize with him at his loss and consider this behaviour as a result of grief- "Think he's entitled to lose his patience! Just lost his mother, has no time to grieve alone and now he is King. Give him a break."

Charles also gestured for help as he struggled to sign documents in London due to a pen holder on the table.

In addition, he typed the date wrong on Tuesday while completing the papers before verifying with an assistant, who advised him that it was September 12 rather than September 13.

According to sources, Charles is believed to be an entertaining person, but he does lose his temper and becomes irritable and demanding at times. Throughout his youth, Charles was prone to having bouts of anger. According to Royal historian Howard Hodgson, Charles' mood swings were typically brought on by the stress he felt from striving to be the best at everything, while at the same time being pleasant, smiling, and acting in a way that represented the monarchy.

Charles had appeared to have calmed down after meeting Lady Diana Spencer, but soon got jealous of her as she had become one of the most lovable members of the Royal family.

In the meanwhile, King Charles must carry on the Queen's legacy. One day after his mother passed away, King Charles gave his first speech as king last Friday, stating that "my life will of course change as I take up my new responsibilities." He also said that, he will no longer be able to devote as much of my time and efforts to the causes and charities he cared about so strongly.
