A recent video posted on Instagram shows a vendor prepares Maggi in a pan and then adding the sugary rose syrup, Rooh Afza, as sauce.
New Delhi: From Maggi laddoo to chocolate Maggi to Fanta Maggi, we have seen many bizarre ways that people serve or eat their Maggi. Taking this up to an all-new level, a Delhi street vendor was found serving Maggi topped with the sugary rose-flavoured concentrate that we know as Rooh Afza, a summer favourite in the subcontinent.
Shocking it may sound, but it’s true and a video of the Delhi street vendor serving Maggi this way had left many people with varied emotions ranging from disgust to anger to laughter.
The recent Instagram post by food blogger @oye.foodie shows a short reel that begins with the vendor shaking a bottle of Rooh Afza. He then prepares Maggi in a pan and adds the sugary rose syrup as sauce.
While the video shows the blogger tasting the dish, but the reel ends without him sharing his review. His reaction, however, says it all.

The Instagram video has garnered 4 million views, 117k likes and several comments that have left many unhappy. One user commented, "Please leave the Maggi alone, what is wrong with people?" Another user said, "I thought chocolate Maggi was the worst we can go. Why can't this year at least end in peace."

Maggi, Nestlé’s instant noodles brand, came to India in the late 1980s and soon became a popular snack, even comfort food for many.
People love to experiment with Maggi — some add veggies, eggs or chicken pieces to it, some like it with cheese and many just boil it with a lot of water and have it soup style.
However, people have also been adventurous with the popular instant noodles brand.
We have seen Maggi kheer, Maggi laddu, Maggi milkshake, and also one made with Fanta.
