Up in the north, the festival of Diwali is celebrated by observing a unique tradition at Pathar ka Mela, particularly in Halog village. The people participate in a stone-pelting activity and interestingly, getting struck by the stones during the event is believed to bring good luck.
In some regions of Gujarat, people engage in a peculiar Diwali tradition where they playfully hurl lit firecrackers at each other. The age-old ritual, which otherwise seems hazardous, is a distinctive practice in Gujarat’s Panchmahal village.
