'OYO Khulwa Do Kam Se Kam': Chhattisgarh BJP MLA 'Raids' Garden, Couples Give Hilarious Reactions

Chhattisgarh BJP MLA Rikesh Sen disrupted couples' rendezvous at a Garden in Durg, citing complaints about "indecent activities". The couples expressed frustration over the closure of OYO Rooms.

Rikesh Sen, BJP MLA from Vaishali Nagar in Chhattisgarh's Durg district, was caught on camera disrupting couples' rendezvous at a Garden in his constituency. Sen was seen shooing away couples from the garden, prompting some of them to demand the reopening of OYO Rooms for their privacy needs.

Sen, upon reaching the park, claimed to have received complaints about couples engaging in "indecent activities" there. In a video, Sen is seen interrogating the couples about their activities, to which one individual responded, "We came to spend time and chat, you had the OYOs closed so we have come to the garden."

Expressing their frustration, another individual who said he was with his girlfriend remarked, "You have had everything closed down, at least have the OYOs opened (OYO khulwa do kam se kam). We're scared of going anywhere. At least spare the park. OYO establishments are scared, people are scared of drinking, and even friends are scared of meeting... We need a private place to meet."

Sharing a video of the incident, Sen took to Facebook to convey a stern message as he wrote, "I want to convey a message to all through this video that any kind of public place such as parks, which are meant for children to play and adults to stroll, should not be used by youths to spread obscenity."

"I want to tell all the youth of my constituency that no matter what your personal relationship is with any girl, if she is coming somewhere with you then it is your responsibility. This kind of behavior in public places is not good for the safety of both of you. Now is the time for all of you to work hard in life and build your future. Please pay attention to your future and pay attention to your family members," he added in a post.

Sen claimed to have received complaints from locals, urging him to take action against such activities in the park. He warned that their behavior could influence others and emphasized the importance of maintaining decorum in public spaces. He further advised young couples in the video to focus on their education and future, urging them to fulfill their parents' dreams.

He warned further action after Model Code of Conduct (MCC) end and said a "Laila Majnu" squad would be formed.

Chhattisgarh MLA Rikesh Sen Had Unauthorised Hotels Shut

In December 2023, Rikesh Sen, the newly elected BJP MLA from Vaishali Nagar constituency, took action against unauthorised hotels operating in the Durg district. Upon receiving complaints, MLA Rikesh Sen personally visited the area and immediately summoned municipal officials to the scene.

During the visit, when commercial licenses were demanded from the hotel operators, they were found to be lacking. Furthermore, discrepancies were discovered upon inspection of the hotel registers. Following MLA Rikesh Sen's directives, two such hotels were promptly sealed, and their registers were confiscated. Sen stated that such hotels, which have been recently opened in residential areas, are encouraging illicit activities by flouting regulations. He highlighted that these establishments have been sites of incidents such as sex rackets, substance abuse, and suicides, directly impacting the local culture and morality.

Sen asserted, "Wrongdoers will not be pardoned."
