Over 30 Snakes Crawl Out Of Bathroom In Assam Home — On Camera

New Delhi: In Assam's Nagaon district, over 30 snake hatchlings crawled out of from a house, startling the residents who discovered them in their bathroom. The incident occurred in Kaliabor, a sub-division town in Nagaon.

According to Sanjib Deka, there is little cause for alarm. He identified the hatchlings and explained that a snake had laid eggs in the bathroom, which subsequently hatched.

Despite Deka's reassurances, the household remained tense, with resident Haque avoiding food and tea due to the fear instilled by the discovery, as per a report of India Today NE.

King Cobra Rescued

A dramatic rescue scene unfolded in the rural outskirts of Kaliabor as a massive King Cobra, named "Fenty Snake Dal," was saved from peril inside an abandoned well.  Sanjeev Deka, a young resident of Shilghat, rescued the cobra, who discovered the majestic serpent trapped within the confines of an abandoned hut in the Karibakari area of Jakhalabandha.

Following the daring rescue, Deka collaborated with the local forest department to facilitate the release of the King Cobra back into its natural habitat. Accompanied by forest officials, the serpent, measuring approximately 8 feet in length, was safely relocated to the reserve forest area of Shilghat, where it could roam freely without posing a threat to human habitation.

14-Foot-Long Burmese Python Rescued

A 14-foot-long Burmese python, weighing over 55 kg, was rescued on July 9, 2022, from the Sonari tea estate in the Kaliabor area of Assam's Nagaon district. The giant snake was discovered in a drain by tea garden workers while they were spraying pesticides. Alarmed by the sight, the workers immediately notified the forest department.

Renowned animal rescuer Sanjib Deka, along with the forest department officials, swiftly responded to the call and captured the enormous reptile. "The tea garden workers were spraying pesticides when they spotted the snake in a drain.

It is a Burmese python that weighs more than 55 kg and measures over 14 feet long. It is the largest snake I have ever seen in my life," said Deka, as per India Today NE.

Following the rescue, the python was released into the nearby Silghat Kamakhya reserve forest, in the presence of forest department officials. The Burmese python is one of the five largest snake species in the world, capable of growing up to 25 feet in length and weighing as much as 137 kg.
