Army Chopper On Medical Duty Makes One-Skid Landing On Road In Arunachal, 2 Critical Patients Evacuated

An Advanced Light Helicopter, which was tasked to undertake a medical evacuation mission on July 7 in Arunachal Pradesh, was precluded from reaching the designated place due to bad weather, as reported by the news agency ANI. According to the Indian Army, the helicopter made 'One Skid Landing' on a road. Following the landing, two critical patients were evacuated to Jorhat thereafter.

Earlier in March, an Indian Army Aviation Cheetah helicopter flying an operational sortie near Bomdila in Arunachal Pradesh crashed near the Mandala hills area of the state on Thursday, officals said, as reported by ANI. Defence Guwahati Public Relations Officer Lt col Mahendra Rawat said that the aircraft was reported to have lost contact with the Air Traffic Controller at around 09:15 AM today.
In the same month, two pilots were killed after an Indian Army Aviation Cheetah helicopter crashed near the Mandala hills area in Arunachal Pradesh, officials said. A search operation was carried out by the Indian Army, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and police after the crash. "Both the pilots involved in the crash have lost their lives," said Army officials, as quoted by ANI.
According to Arunachal Pradesh Police, an Army chopper lost contact midway and could not be located while it was en route to Missamari from Senge village. At around 12:30 pm villagers from Bangjalep under Dirang police station informed that a crashed chopper was found, as reported by ANI.
