Yuva Galam Padayatra: TDP Secretary Nara Lokesh's Mother Joins March On 100th Day

Bhuvaneswari, the daughter of TDP founder and late Chief Minister NT Rama Rao, and other family members accompanied Lokesh as his padyatra completed 100 days on Monday.

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's wife, N Bhvaneswari, joined her son Nara Lokesh's ongoing 'Yuva Galam' (youth's voice) padyatra on Monday. On the 100th day of the padyatra, Bhuvaneswari, the daughter of TDP founder and late Chief Minister NT Rama Rao, and other family members accompanied Lokesh.

The TDP general secretary resumed his foot march in Srisailam constituency on Monday.

Bhuvaneswari's sister, Lokeshwari, also participated in the padyatra. To mark the 100th day of the padyatra, Lokesh unveiled a pylon at Matukuru. Many TDP leaders and supporters participated in the padyatra.

Meanwhile, Chandrababu Naidu took to Twitter to wish Nara Lokesh on completing 100 days of his foot march.

"I'm sure the time he spent on the road would have brought him closer to see and feel the real problems of people. Many more miles to go," wrote Naidu.

On January 27, Lokesh embarked on a 4,000 km-long state-wide walkathon from Kuppam constituency, which is represented by his father. The  padayatra will cover 120 Assembly constituencies over 400 days across the state. It has so far covered 1,200 km.

However, tragedy struck Lokesh's family on the very first day of the padyatra. His cousin and actor Nandamuri Taraka Ratna collapsed during the march after suffering cardiac arrest.

On February 18, Taraka Ratna (39) passed away while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Bengaluru.
