Harris was born in the United States to two immigrant parents: a Black father and an Indian mother. Donald Harris, her father, was from Jamaica, and Shyamala Gopalan, a breast cancer researcher, was from Chennai.

Trump also made a remark about Vice President Joe Biden, claiming he is "worse mentally than physically."

“Well not really… she has some bad moments. Her moment is as bad as it can be. I think his( pointing to Joe Biden) is worse, actually,” he  was quoted by PTI in its report.

Trump will face three Indian-American candidates in the presidential election, which is set on November 5, 2024.

The Republican candidates for US President in 2024 are Hirsh Vardhan Singh, an Indian-American engineer, former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, and rich entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy.
