While pretending to be ill to go home early isn't exactly a new excuse, this Twitter user has shown how it's done with his life-like performance of collapsing the way he did.

New Delhi: Are you having a mundane day at work and want to leave early to catch up with something special? Here's a UK-based Twitter user who shared how he managed to skip his shift for the day by pretending to faint.

The CCTV footage that he shared has gone viral and is garnering a lot of responses.

While pretending to be ill to go home early isn't exactly a new excuse, this Twitter user has shown how it's done with his life-like performance of collapsing the way he did.

Sharing this incident, the Twitter user wrote: "What’s the best way you’ve ever blagged getting off work sick this is mine it was Boxing Day I was hungover and 18 and wanted to go out later so decided to pull this off 😭 made sure the manager was there as well".

In the video, the man can be seen helping a lady purchase the products in her cart. While doing so, he bends and falls flat on his face.

Before this, when the woman was checking her card, he even placed his hand on his head to suggest that he was unwell. The customer is understandably left shocked when he collapses. As revealed by the user, he made sure that the manager was there to see this whole thing.

Well did it work? Responding to a question, he revealed: "It did sir got given a free lucozade and galaxy bar for my troubles and sent home".

Besides any genuine health concerns, in case you want that day off early: "Remember head first and shallow breathing for 5 minutes and don’t respond to their calls you’ll have that day off in no time".
