'Hands Of All Parties In Region Are On Trigger': Iran Warns Israel Of Regional Escalation

Iran has warned Israel of regional escalation if it does not stop the aggression in Gaza Strip.

Iran has warned Israel against its escalation in Gaza saying if Tel Aviv failed to end the aggression, then other parties in the region were ready to act.

"If the Zionist aggressions do not stop, the hands of all parties in the region are on the trigger," said Iranian news agency Fars reported quoting foreign minister Hossein Amirabdollahian as saying.

Israel has been continuously raining rockets and missiles on the Gaza Strip after Palestinian militant group Hamas launched a surprise attack on southern and central Israel on October 7.

Hamas has been finding constant support from Iran which lauded the militant group for the October 7 attacks although denied its involvement in the same calling it Israel's "irreparable" military and intelligence defeat.

Meanwhile Israel has accused Iran for ordering attacks by Hezbollah on the Lebanon border, as per an Al Jazeera report.

“Hezbollah carried out a number of shooting attacks in order to distract from our war efforts in the south (Gaza), under Iranian instruction and with (Iranian) support,” Israeli army spokesperson Daniel Hagari said during a press briefing on Monday.

Saudi Arabia has called an "urgent extraordinary meeting" of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to discuss the Israel-Gaza war. The top grouping of Islamic nations which would meet on Wednesday in Jeddah seeks to address the "military escalation" and "threat to defenceless civilians in Gaza”.

The death toll has so far crossed over 3,500 with 2,670 killed in Gaza and Occupied West Bank with more than 10,000 injured whereas 1,400 have been killed in Israel with 3,500 injured.
