Imran Khan's Convoy Meets With Accident On Way To Islamabad For Hearing In Toshkhana Case: Report

A vehicle in the convoy of former Pakistan PM Imran Khan met with an accident while he was heading to Islamabad in connection with the hearing into the Toshakhana case.

A vehicle in the convoy of former Pakistan former prime minister Imran Khan met with an accident as he was heading to Islamabad in connection with the hearing into the Toshakhana case, local media reported. Earlier in the day, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party's Chairman left for Islamabad from his Zaman Park residence in Lahore to appear before a court in the Toshakhana case.

In a video shared on the PTI's official Twitter account, Imran Khan can be heard saying: "I am on my way to Islamabad court. Unfortunately, I am running slightly late due to an accident. I want you to know that they had plan readied to arrest me which betrays their ill intentions."
He also tweeted: "It is now clear that, despite my having gotten bail in all my cases, the PDM govt intends to arrest me. Despite knowing their malafide intentions, I am proceeding to Islamabad & the court bec I believe in rule of law."

"It is also obvious now that the entire siege of Lahore was not about ensuring I appear before the court in a case but was intended to take me away to prison so that I am unable to lead our election campaign," Imran Khan added.

In another tweet, the former prime minister alleged that Punjab Police "led an assault" on his house in Zaman Park where his wife Bushra Begum "is alone". "Under what law are they doing this? This is part of London Plan where commitments were made to bring absconder Nawaz Sharif to power as quid pro quo for agreeing to one appointment," the PTI chief tweeted.

According to Geo News, a lower court in the federal capital will take up the Toshakhana case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman (PTI) Imran Khan amid a high-security alert in and around the Federal Judicial Complex in G-11.

Ahead of Imran Khan's arrival at the Judicial Complex, the area was put on high security to ensure law and order and avoid any untoward situations, the report mentioned.

The Islamabad administration on Friday night imposed Section 144 in the capital, prohibiting private companies, security guards, or individuals from carrying weapons. It is mandatory for drivers to carry their vehicle registration documents while driving. news agency PTI reported.

In the last hearing on Thursday, the court rejected Imran’s plea seeking the suspension of non-bailable arrest warrants issued for him.
