The earthquake of magnitude 5.1 took place 84 kilometers to the south east of Fayzabad in Afghanistan

New Delhi: An earthquake of magnitude 5.1 took place 84 kilometers to the south east of Fayzabad in Afghanistan. The epicenter of the earthquake lay at the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border. The tremors of the earthquake were felt in India in the Poonch area of Jammu and Kashmir.

“Earthquake of Magnitude:5.1, Occurred on 01-01-2022, 18:45:24 IST, Lat: 36.53 & Long: 71.18, Depth: 204 Km ,Location: 84km SE of Fayzabad, Afghanistan,” tweeted the National Centre for Seismology.
