Blast near Quetta hospital, twelve injured
Islamabad: Four people were injured on Thursday in a roadside blast near a hospital in Pakistan's Quetta city, police said.
The explosion comes just after a suicide bombing at the emergency ward of Quetta's Civil Hospital on Monday that killed over 70 people, mostly lawyers and journalists, Dawn online reported.
According to rescue officials, two civilians and two security officials were injured in a roadside blast targeting a vehicle belonging to the Anti-Terrorism Squad in Balochistan's provincial capital, near Al Khair Hospital.
The bomb was planted along the side of the Zarghon Road and exploded as the vehicle passed by, Dawn online quoted the police as saying.
A combing operation is ongoing throughout Quetta following Monday's blast.
