Bizarre Revenge Attack: Angry villagers slaughter nearly 300 crocodiles

New Delhi: In a bizarre incident of mass-slaughter an angry mob killed nearly 300 crocodiles in Indonesia. The reason behind the butchering of the entire group of crocodiles was because one of the crocodiles killed a local man. As per reports, the revenge killing took place on Saturday in Papua province after the funeral of the man who was killed by a crocodile. The man fell into an enclosure at a crocodile farm while looking for grass to feed his livestock. The 48-year-old victim was bitten on the leg by a crocodile and was fatally struck with a tail of one of the crocodiles. The friends and family of the victim were angered over the crocodile farm being located near a residential area. The local conservation agency agreed to make compensation to the family. Crocodiles are a protected species there. As per reports, the men who numbered in hundreds were not satisfied and they marched towards the crocodile farm with knives, machetes and shovels and slaughtered some 292 crocodiles. Police are likely to level criminal charges against the perpetrators.
