Air Strikes Hit Western Ukraine, 2 Injured In Lutsk

Ukraine became a target of yet another air strike on Tuesday. Two people got wounded during the attack as residential buildings became a target.

A series of air strikes struck western parts of Ukraine, during the early hours of Tuesday, impacting two cities and resulting in a few injuries. Lviv mayor Andriy Sadovyi revealed that "residential buildings got hit" in a missile strike. Meanwhile, Volyn regional governor Yuriy Poguliaiko stated that a strike targeting an industrial area in the city of Lutsk led to the injury of two individuals.

In another incident, occurring on Sunday, a Russian attack aimed at southern Ukraine claimed the lives of a 23-day-old baby, her 12-year-old brother, and five others. Interior Minister Igor Klymenko conveyed via Telegram that two children and three others were killed in Shyroka Balka village. He added that two additional casualties were reported in Stanislav in Kherson.

Klymenko condemned the attack, asserting, "Terrorists must be stopped. They must be stopped by force. They don't understand anything else."

A report from AFP detailed Klymenko sharing images depicting the aftermath of the Shyroka Balka attack. The photographs revealed digitally obscured victims' bodies and showed plumes of black smoke emanating from buildings.

This incident of shelling transpired shortly after Moscow accused Ukraine of attempting a missile strike on the Kerch Bridge, which links mainland Russia to the Crimean Peninsula. Tensions in the region remain high following these acts of violence.
