'Testing Won't Harm You': Rahul Gandhi On People Attacking Medical Workers
“Testing does not harm anyone. And testing capacity should be increased. There should be no differences based on caste and religion, these should be set aside. We should unite and fight this together, otherwise, we will lose. We need to understand that he elderly are especially vulnerable as compared to other western nations.”
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi held a press conference via video conferencing today addressing the issues about the lockdown and the coronavirus pandemic. He laid down several constructive suggestions for the government for the management of COVID-19 transmission. To a question on whether people from a certain community are attacking medical workers and not cooperating with testing and screening. He replied that testing should be done irrespective of religious differences.

Gandhi has been critical of the way the government has been handling the spread of coronavirus in India. But today he said during the conference he said though he differs from Prime Minister Narendra Modi at many points, now is not the time to bring up those differences. He said that this is a big fight and we all have to fight united.
Before the Prime Minister’s address on April 14, Sonia Gandhi had also addressed the nation with a video message. In the video, which was released by the Congress party, Gandhi praised the way people have adhered to lockdown. She had also said that the Congress party is trying to help the needy and informed that if anyone was looking for help, they could reach out to the party.
According to latest data from the ministry of health and family affairs India has reported confirmed cases of10,477 and the death toll has reached 414
