Jeep Compass Trailhawk Bookings Open Ahead Of July 2019 Launch

New off-road focussed variant will also offer an automatic transmission with the diesel engine for the first time

The new Jeep Compass Trailhawk will be launching soon and the carmaker is now accepting pre-bookings at its dealerships across the country. For a refundable deposit of Rs 50,000, buyers can book an order for the first-ever diesel-AT Compass variant to be offered in India. It is the most capable off-roading version of the Compass SUV with increased ground clearance, revised bumpers, better wading depth and is equipped with a more advanced version of Jeep’s Selec Terrain system. That includes an additional Rock mode and 4WD Low as well. The Trailhawk badge is representative of the variant’s abilities in off-road conditions. Powering the Compass Trailhawk will be a BS6 compliant version of the 2.0-litre diesel engine paired with a 9-speed automatic and producing 173PS of power and 350Nm of torque. When launched, it will be the first BS6 offering in the mid-size SUV segment. The Trailhawk gets an all-black leather interior with red accents around the cabin while the feature list is quite similar to that of the current top-spec Jeep Compass variant - Limited Plus 4x4. It will get a dual-pane sunroof, dual-zone climate control, 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and more. The Compass Trailhawk is expected to be priced north of Rs 25 lakh while the current top-spec Limited Plus variant has a price tag of Rs 23.11 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
