The gruesome murder of Telangana land surveyor Gunta Tejeshwar by his newlywed wife, Aishwarya, has sent shockwaves across the nation—not just for its sheer brutality, but for its unsettling resemblance to a case from last month involving a woman named Sonam Raghuvanshi from Indore. Though the cases differ in detail, Aishwarya has been dubbed “South’s Sonam Raghuvanshi” by many due to the chilling parallels of betrayal, forbidden love, and a cold-blooded murder plotted within the confines of a family.
Triangle Love Story
Aishwarya, 23, married Tejeshwar on May 18, 2025. What seemed like a happy union quickly deteriorated within days of the wedding. Tejeshwar noticed that his wife often stayed on the phone for long hours with an unidentified man. That man turned out to be V Tirumal Rao, a bank manager from Kurnool—and shockingly, the former lover of Aishwarya’s own mother, Sujatha.
Tirumal Rao, though already married and childless, had a longstanding relationship with Sujatha, who worked as a cleaner in his bank. During Sujatha’s absences, Aishwarya frequently visited the bank, and in time, a bond developed between her and Rao, as per reports. Despite her mother’s disapproval and attempts to arrange her marriage elsewhere, Aishwarya was determined to be with him. What followed was a sinister and calculated plan to eliminate the one person standing in their way: her husband.
How Did 'Sonam Raghuvanshi Of South' Plot The Murder
To track Tejeshwar’s movements, Aishwarya and Rao had a GPS tracker secretly installed on his bike. Meanwhile, three contract killers—Nagesh, Parashuramadu, and Raju—were hired under the pretense of being real estate agents. The trio befriended Tejeshwar, gaining his trust over time. Then, on June 17, they executed their plan. Tejeshwar was lured into a car, his throat was slit, and his body was dumped near Panyam Ghat Road in Nandyal, reported NavBharatTimes. To throw investigators off, the killers disposed of his phone in the Krishna River and used at least ten different mobile devices during the operation to create a digital smokescreen.
Initially, the plan seemed to be working. But confusions started after Tejeshwar’s family raised suspicion over Aishwarya. On June 20, police recovered a decomposed body from a canal. Forensic evidence and mobile call records soon pointed unmistakably to Aishwarya and her illicit lover.
Following this, police on Thursday arrested eight individuals in connection with the murder case. The accused have been identified as V. Tirumala Rao, Aishwarya, Kummari Nagesh, Chakali Parashuram, Chakali Raju, A. Mohan, Tirupathayya, and Sujatha.
During the investigation, authorities recovered two machetes, a knife, 10 mobile phones, and a GPS tracking device used in executing the crime.
