Telangana BJP Chief Bandi Sanjay Gets Bail In Warangal SSC Paper Leak Case

Bail granted to Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay by magistrate in Hindi SSC paper leak case

The bail has been granted to Bharatiya Janata Party Telangana unit chief and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay, who was arrested and indicted as the main accused in the Warangal SSC question paper leak case.

BJP legal cell team had filed a bail petition on behalf of Bandi Sanjay. After an 8-hour long hearing on the case, the judge granted conditional bail with the surety of Rs 20,000. He will be released tomorrow.

Welcoming the Hanumukona court judgement, official spokesperson of state party N V Subhash said: "Finally truth won the political war orchestrated by CM KCR."

"It’s a slap on the face of CM KCR and BRS party as they wanted to keep Bandi Sanjay inside the Jail and to prevent him to participate in PM programmes on April 8 in a false case," Subhash said.

"But the victory will be finally of truth. It may take some seconds, minutes or hours , justice would always win the battle if we go through our history," he asserted.

The Kamalapur police had charged Sanjay with IPC Sections 120 (B) (conspiracy), 420 (cheating), 447 (criminal trespass), and 505 (1) (b). (intent to cause fear or alarm to the public).

Earlier, in connection with the case, three persons were detained, including a NaMo employee and Sanjay's social media advisor, Booram Prashanth.

Bandi Sanjay, along with three other people, was detained by the Warangal police criminal conspiracy for spreading rumours and inciting a breach of peace during the ongoing SSC exams. They have all been placed in judicial detention for 14 days. His counsel has also requested bail.

In connection with the SSC Hindi paper leak, Warangal police detained three people, one of them was a juvenile. Minutes after the exam began, the paper was circulated via Whatsapp.

Bandi Sanjay has been named as the case's primary accused (A1).

According to Warangal Police Commissioner AV Ranganath, Sanjay Kumar conspired with the intention of spreading rumours and inciting a breach of peace during the ongoing SSC public examination in Telangana state after images of two question papers surfaced on social media, in order to defame the government and instill fear among students and their parents, thereby defaming the duly elected state government.

The arrest of the BJP President was unconstitutional and unlawful, and it will be the final nail in the coffin of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's dictatorial rule, according to Tarun Chugh, the party's national general secretary and Telangana in-charge.
