Visiting Statue Of Unity Will Be Easier, PM Modi To Flag Off 8 Trains With Modern Amenities
The PMO said that these railway stations have been equipped with local features and modern passenger amenities. Kevadia is the first station in the country to have a certificate of being a green building.
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off 8 trains to connect the Statue of Unity, Kevadia to various parts of the country through video conferencing today. With this, PM Modi will also inaugurate various railway projects in Gujarat.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off eight trains today to facilitate the movement of people from different parts of the country to the Statue of Unity in Kevadia, Gujarat. According to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), these trains will connect Kevadia to Varanasi, Dadar, Ahmedabad, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Rewa, Chennai, and Pratapnagar.
The Prime Minister will also inaugurate the Dabhoi-Chanchod gauge conversion, Chanchod-Kevadia gauge conversion, electrification of newly constructed Pratapnagar-Kevadia section, and the inauguration of new buildings of Dabhoi, Chanchod, and Kevadia stations during this ceremony to be organized by video conferencing.
Equipped with modern passenger amenities
Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and Railway Minister Piyush Goyal will also be present at the inauguration of these railway-related projects in Gujarat. The PMO said that these railway stations have been equipped with local features and modern passenger amenities. Kevadia is the first station in the country to have a certificate of being a green building.
The PMO said, 'These projects will speed up development works in the nearby tribal areas. Connections can be made to important religious and ancient pilgrimage centers situated on the banks of river Narmada. Domestic and international tourism will get a boost and it will prove to be important for the entire socio-economic development of the region. Along with this, it will also help in the development of new jobs and business opportunities.'

Mahamana Express will run weekly from Kevadia to Varanasi.
Dadar-Kevadia Express will run daily from Dadar to Kevadia.
Jan Shatabdi Express will run daily from Ahmedabad to Kevadia.
Nizamuddin-KevadiaSampark Kranti Express will run from Kevadia to Hazrat Nizamuddin two days a week.
Kevadia-Rewa Express will run weekly from Kevadia to Rewa.
Chennai-Kevadia Express will run weekly from Chennai to Kevadia.
MEMU train will run daily from Pratap Nagar to Kevadia.
MEMU train will run daily from Kevadia to Pratapnagar.
