Uttar Pradesh: CM Adityanath Warns Action Against Officials If Loudspeaker Norms Flouted

While virtually addressing state officials, Adityanath highlighted how his government has successfully removed loudspeakers from religious places across the state for flouting norms.

New Delhi: After ordering to take down illegal loudspeakers from places of worship, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Wednesday said action will be taken against those not following norms like unnecessarily installing loudspeakers or playing them loudly, reported news agency PTI.

While virtually addressing state officials from his residence in Gorakhpur, Adityanath highlighted how his government has successfully removed loudspeakers from religious places across the state for flouting norms.

"After talks, unnecessary loudspeakers installed at different religious places have been removed," the chief minister was quoted as saying by PTI.

He also warned of action against officials if they failed to implement the norms or there was complaint of unnecessary loudspeakers being installed or played loudly.

"If there is any complaint of unnecessary loudspeakers being installed and played loudly, the circle officer, deputy collector and other officials concerned will be held responsible and action will be taken against them," said Yogi during the virtual meet.

Strict instructions to eliminate illegal vehicle stands being operated at various places in the state was also given by the Chief Minister to the officials. A two-day deadline was set to implement the order.

"It is the responsibility of the local administration to bring a permanent solution to the problem of illegal taxi stands. Otherwise accountability will be fixed. There should be no parking on the roads," said the Chief Minister, as reported by PTI.

Keeping in view the rising cases of road accidents in the country, the CM pressed for extra care to be taken to avoid such incidents. He vouched for making school students more aware of traffic rules and regulations.
