'Usne Kaha Bakwas Bandh Kariye...': Pashupati Kumar Dismisses Possibility Of Reconciling With Chirag Paswan
Paras also staked claim in his brother’s party saying Chirag is the successor of Paswan’s financial assets as per law, but he was the political “heir” of the party.
Union minister Pashupati Kumar Paras on Tuesday dismissed the possibility of reconciliation with his nephew Chirag Paswan. Speaking on the sidelines of an event in New Delhi, the Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party founder said he would “never” reconcile with Chirag Paswan. He also said that he and his family members will “never forgive Chirag” for the way he treated them when his late brother and former Lok Jan Shakti Party chief Ram Vilas Paswan was hospitalised and after his death, as per a PTI report.
A veteran Dalit leader and a political heavyweight from Bihar, Ram Vilas Paswan passed away in October 2020 after prolonged illness. After the demise, his Lok Janshakti Party suffered a split following differences between his son Chirag and younger brother Paras.
Paras claimed that Chirag threatened him to remove him from the party.

“In front of everyone he (Chirag) said, "I want to wipe out Nitish Kumar politically and you are boasting about him. I'll remove you from the party,” said Paras, adding he offered to resign from the membership of the party and Lok Sabha.
Responding to this, according to Paras, Chirag said, “He (Chirag) said stop the nonsense, yours and mine blood are different” after which the former said “from today onwards i am not your uncle and you are not my nephew.”
The RLJP founder also staked claim in his brother’s party saying Chirag is the successor of Paswan’s financial assets as per law, but he was the political “heir” of the party.
"According to law, Chirag Paswan is the successor of Ram Vilas Paswan's property. But I am the (political) heir of my late elder brother as was Lord Ram's brother Lakshman in the Ramayana,” he said
"He (Ram Vilas Paswan) had asked me to contest from his Hajipur Lok Sabha seat after he was elected to Rajya Sabha, saying he trusted me more than anyone in the family. I was not willing to contest from the seat, but he made me join the fray from his constituency," he claimed.
