UP: BJP MLA, son accused of murdering Panchayat Samiti member

The widow of the deceased has alleged that BJP MLA Ram Krishna along with his son and three aides broke into their house and forcefully abducted her husband Santosh, only to kill him later.

New Delhi: BJP MLA Ram Krishna Bhargava and his son have been accused of murdering a member of Panchayat Samiti in UP’s Sitapaur. The widow of the deceased has alleged that BJP MLA Ram Krishna along with his son and three aides broke into their house and forcefully abducted her husband Santosh and held him captive. After 20 days they murdered him and dumped his dead body at the house. She informed that prior to his murder Santosh had given an affidavit to the police claiming that he will be killed by Ram Krishna and his men. She said that if the authorities had paid attention towards this issue, her husband would not meet this fate. The entire matter spins around the candidature for presidency of Machhrehta block. Santosh's wife has alleged afresh that the MLA has offered Rs 5 lakh, job, land and children’s education for keeping silent on the matter. She said that despite informing police no action was taken. The widow then had to approach the National SC/ST Commission. Keeping in view the seriousness of the matter, the Commission has asked for the report of entire action from Sitapur SP. The accused MLA has refuted the allegations and has asked for a CBI enquiry to be initiated in the matter. He said that Santosh was among his close aides and he died in Hardoi Hospital. “Sitapur police is investigating the matter and the truth will come out soon”, he said. Watch:
