The Goa Police will visit the house of Phogat's personal assistant Sudhir Sangwan in Rohtak as well to probe the allegations against him and investigate financial transactions as well

New Delhi: A team of the Goa Police will be visiting deceased BJP leader Sonali Phogat linked places in Hisar, Gurugram and Adampur on Wednesday to investigate the murder case. The team will also question family members and record their statements to probe the alleged conspiracy behind the murder.

The police will visit Sonali Phogat's flat in Gurugram where she had stayed before leaving for Goa apart from investigating bank accounts and other financial transactions.

Family Alleges Conspiracy

The family has alleged that Phogat's property which is worth more than Rs 100 crore could be the reason behind the murder. They also suspect the way CCTV DVR disappeared from the farmhouse, it seems there is a big conspiracy.

Her family alleged that a laptop, mobile, digital video recorder of the 12 CCTV cameras installed at the farmhouse and some documents were stolen from the farmhouse recently.

They claimed that Shivam, an aide of the BJP leader’s associate Sudhir Sangwan, had taken these things from the farmhouse after the news of her death on August 23.

The family alleges for this reason, as soon as the news of Sonali Phogat's death came to Hisar, Shivam ran away from the farmhouse to weaken the claim of her family. The DVR and footage can prove to be very crucial in this case for the police.

The Haryana Police on Tuesday visited the farmhouse to probe a complaint of theft lodged by her family members.

Goa CM Refuses To Hand Over The Case To CBI

The Goa government has refused to hand over the investigation to CBI. Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant said at present there is no need to hand it over to the CBI. He informed that, earlier, this case was being investigated by an Inspector rank officer but now a DSP rank officer has been made the investigation officer in this case.

The Goa Police have so far arrested five persons, including two of Phogat’s associates, in connection with the case.

Phogat, a contestant on the reality TV show Bigg Boss, was brought dead to a hospital in north Goa on August 23, a day after she reached the coastal state.
