MVA Unity Not Affected By Sharad Pawar's Adani Remarks, Defends Sena. Pay Heed To NCP Chief, Says CM Shinde
Sanjay Raut stated that the NCP chief's recent remarks on the Adani issue, which sparked a political uproar in Maharashtra, will have no impact on the opposition's unity.
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut said on Saturday that Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar's recent statement on the Adani issue will have no impact on the opposition's unity in Maharashtra and that like-minded will remain united against the BJP, this comes after the state leader of the opposition and NCP's Ajit Pawar stated that if Pawar stands for this (against JPC demand into Adani issue), then the party will as well.
In an interview with a news channel, the NCP chief dismissed the Opposition's campaign for a parliamentary inquiry into the Adani Group. His dismissive remarks sparked a political uproar in the state.
The NCP chief in an interview with NDTV said: "....Someone made a statement that sparked outrage across the country." Such statements had previously caused an uproar. However, the importance placed on the issue this time was out of proportion. There was a need to consider who raised the issue. (gave report). We had not heard the person who made the statement. What is the backstory? When such issues are raised, they cause uproar in the country, and the cost is borne....how it affects the economy. We can't ignore such things, and it appears (it) was targeted".
'His Statements Have No Effect On Opposition Unity': Sanjay Raut
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and MP Sanjay Raut stated that NCP supremo Sharad Pawar's statement on the Adani issue will have no impact on the Opposition's unity in Maharashtra and that the like-minded will remain united against the BJP.
"We have known Sharad Pawar for a long time, and we have seen his stance on Gautam Adani since the beginning." This is not to say that the opposition's unity is without flaws. He has an opinion on whether a JPC or a Supreme Court investigation should be conducted. He may hold a different viewpoint, but the Shiv Sena will stand where the entire opposition stands," Raut said.

Maharashtra CM Shinde Takes Jibe At Congress:
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde lashed out at the Congress and Uddhav Thackeray, saying the opposition should pay attention to Pawar's words, PTI reported. The state government claimed that Sharad Pawar's statement demonstrated that Rahul Gandhi's demand for a Joint Parliamentary Committee investigation into Hindenberg's allegations against the Adani group was unjustified.
Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) spokesperson Krishna Hegde commented on the row, saying, "We have been saying from the beginning that there is no unity in the opposition, and now Sharad Pawar's statement has clearly established that he does not support the JPC demand called by Rahul Gandhi on Adani."
