Shah Rukh Khan Threatened By Chhattisgarh Thief? Here's What Mumbai Police Investigation Revealed

A man named Faizan Khan lost his phone to a thief. The thief used the phone to call Shah Rukh Khan and threatened to kill him unless he paid Rs 50 lakh. The police are now searching for the thief.

The person whose phone was used to threaten Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan on November 5 had reportedly lost his cellphone to a thief.  A senior Mumbai police official said that the mobile phone of the Raipur man, identified as Faizan Khan, was stolen a few days ago and he had lodged a police complaint as well.

The threat against Shah Rukh Khan was received on the Bandra Police Station's landline. The extortionist sought Rs 50 lakh from the actor and threatened to kill him. The caller said: "Ask Shah Rukh Khan to pay up Rs 50 lakh. If he doesn't, he will die... My name is not important, but if you want to write, not down the name 'Hindustani'."

Tracing the number's details, a team from the Bandra Police's crime branch reached Chhattisgarh's Raipur to apprehend Faizan, under whose name the number was registered.

The police have now launched a search for the mobile phone thief.

Faizan Complained Against Shah Rukh Khan

Speaking to ABP, Faizan Khan said, "My number has been misused. My phone was stolen in Raipur on November 2. I had even lodged a complaint. It was a Vivo phone." He further said that he is a lawyer by profession. He said that he had earlier lodged a complaint against Shah Rukh Khan with the Mumbai Police Commissioner. "Perhaps my phone and name were misused due to this," he said.

"The Mumbai Police team came at 11 AM. There were two officers. I went to the police station and gave a statement. I have been asked to come to Mumbai, I will come on 13 November," he said.

Faizan used to live in Lalbaug, Mumbai earlier. Now he practices in Raipur Court.

Previously, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan faced several death threats. Recently, authorities in Karnataka detained a man from Jalore, Rajasthan, in connection with the case. Salman Khan reportedly received a threatening call on November 5. The suspect, identified as Bikaram Jalaram Bishnoi, allegedly stated, "I am Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother. If Salman Khan wishes to remain alive, he must visit our temple to apologize or pay Rs 5 crore. If he fails to comply, we will kill him. Our gang is still operational."
