Opposition Using Evil "Killing Power" To Harm BJP Leaders: Sadhvi Pragya On Swaraj, Jaitley Deaths
Sadhvi Pragya had triggered a huge controversy in the run-to her Lok Sabha elections as she had termed Mahatma Gandhi's assassin Nathuram Godse a "patriot".
New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Bhopal Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur on Monday again ended up giving a controversial statement as she alleged that the opposition is using some evil “marak shakti” (killing power) to harm the BJP leaders, citing the recent deaths of party’s senio leaders like Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley and Babulal Gaur.
“Once a Maharaj ji told me that bad times are upon us and the opposition is up to something, using some 'marak shakti' against BJP. I later forgot what he said, but now when I see our top leaders leaving us one by one, I am forced to think, wasn't Maharaj ji right,” she said.
She was addressing a condolence meeting at the state BJP office to pay tributes to Jaitley and former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Babulal Gaur.
A clip of her statement was shared by news agency ANI. Watch here:
Former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj died on August 24 and on August 6 respectively. This is not the first time Thakur has passed a controversial remark. She had triggered a huge controversy in the run-to her Lok Sabha elections as she had termed Mahatma Gandhi's assassin Nathuram Godse a "patriot". She had also claimed that the then Maharashtra ATS chief Hemant Karkare was killed in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks due to her "curse". Her statement on Godse had evoked strong rebuke from Prime Minister Narendra Modi who had said that he would never forgive her for insulting the Father of the Nation.#WATCH Pragya Thakur,BJP MP: Once a Maharaj ji told me that bad times are upon us&opposition is upto something, using some 'marak shakti' against BJP.I later forgot what he said, but now when I see our top leaders leaving us one by one,I am forced to think, wasn't Maharaj ji right? pic.twitter.com/ZeYHkacFJj
