'RPG Smuggled From Pakistan, 4 Suspects Detained': Punjab Police On Tarn Taran Incident
Sukhchain Singh Gill said, “Under the Tarn Taran attack investigation, we have found that the RPG was smuggled from Pakistan, the rest of the probe is underway."
The Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) that was shot at a police station in Tarn Taran district on Friday night was smuggled from Pakistan, and those who carried out the incident have been identified, according to the Punjab Police, news agency ANI reported.
Speaking about the investigation, Sukhchain Singh Gill, inspector general of police (IGP) said, “Under the Tarn Taran attack investigation, we have found that the RPG was smuggled from Pakistan, the rest of the probe is underway...Various narratives are in flow against law & order but the proactiveness of Punjab police has curbed attacks. Since March we arrested 110 terrorists & recovered 9 tiffin IEDs, 7 detonators, 10 hand grenades &10 drones &more high-end explosive materials were apprehended."

“All minute details will be revealed once the investigation is over. I am saying this with all determination, we have unearthed the whole case, which we will present soon,” Gill added.
"Senior officials are investigating, we have detained 4people, who helped with logistics. 2 more suspects who executed attack to be detained. Our probe is on right path, within 2-3 days we will reveal details on Tarn Taran PS attack," he further stated.

On Saturday, a low-intensity blast was detected at the Tarn Taran Authorities Sanjha Kendra in Punjab, which the police described as an RPG strike. It further said that a case had been filed under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
Meanwhile, Parkash Singh, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Sarhali Kalan police station, has been replaced by Sukhbir Singh.
Following the attack, NIA officers came to the Sarhali Kalan police station in Tarn Taran on Saturday evening, since the officials suspected a "terror nexus" in the event.
On Friday night, an unidentified person shot a projectile at the Saanjh Kendra, which is adjacent to the Sarhali police station on the Amritsar-Bathinda highway.
There were no casualties, although window panes and a piece of the building's wall were damaged.
Seven individuals have been apprehended and questioned by police in connection with the incident.
