'They Are Fools': Lalu Yadav Rubbishes Speculation Of Tejashwi Becoming RJD National President
The RJD chief said those who run such news reports are “fools”.
New Delhi: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav has rubbished speculation of his younger son Tejashwi Yadav being elevated to the post of party’s national president.
The RJD chief said those who run such news reports are “fools”.
“We will get to know whatever happens,” he told the media in the national capital earlier on Friday when asked if Tejashwi Yadav will be made the RJD national president, ANI reported.
The RJD chief’s elder son Tej Pratap Yadav too refuted reports of his brother Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly, being made the party chief.
Tej Pratap categorically stated that his father will remain as the RJD chief as the party has performed well under his leadership.
Speculations are, however, rife that the RJD supremo’s younger son Tejashwi Yadav may be elevated to the post of national president in the upcoming meeting of the party’s national executive.
Commenting on the RJD’s national executive meeting, he said that several important people related to the party and organisation would be present in the same.
Tej Pratap, however, he did not confirm the participation of his father in the upcoming meeting.
The RJD’s national executive meeting is scheduled to take place in Bihar capital Patna on February 10.
The national executive meeting will be attended by former Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi and her two sons besides other senior RJD leaders.
There are reports suggesting that the RJD supremo would also be present in the national executive meeting.
