On Saturday, the fifth day of Vedic ceremonies, rituals with sweets and fruits, as well as daily prayers and 'Havan', were performed. UP Police DGP Vijaya Kumar inspected preparations for the grand event on Saturday and gave strict orders to increase vigilance across the state on January 22. He requested that officials increase patrols along the India-Nepal border in order to curb suspicious movement.
Security checks for vehicles and persons have been enforced across the town, and no unwanted visits or vehicles are permitted, according to officials.
According to officials, the security plans include over 20,000 officials and staff from central security agencies, as well as state security and police agencies, and an anti-drone system has been established to combat aerial threats during the programme.
The security mechanism is made up of various agencies, including the Special Protection Group (SPG), National Security Guards (NSG), para commandos of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), UP Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS), UP Special Task Force (STF), and specially trained personnel from the UP security headquarters, Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC), UP Special Security Force (UPSSF), and Intelligence Bureau sleuths. They will use new technology, such as rigorous aerial and artificial intelligence monitoring, to assure the historic event's safety and success.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, the Indo-Nepal coordination committee met at the command centre of the 42nd Battalion, SSB, near the Indo-Nepal border. Officials from neighbouring areas in India and Nepal assessed security plans ahead of the Pran Pratishtha celebration in Ayodhya and Republic Day on January 26.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the chief guest at the mega event on January 22, to which thousands of people, including celebrities, saints, and politicians, have been invited.
