Ayodhya 'Pran Pratishtha': Ram Lalla To Get Offering Of 45 Tonnes Of Laddus On Jan 22

Accomplished confectioners are busy crafting laddus with pure desi ghee, which will be presented as prasad on January 22 during the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

As the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya approaches, a group of confectioners from Varanasi and Gujarat are currently in the temple town, busy crafting sweets for the dignitaries and devotees attending the grand event.

The confectioners have been assigned the responsibility of crafting laddus with pure desi ghee, which will be presented as prasad on January 22. The production of the popular sweet started on January 6 and will continue till January 22, coinciding with the influx of devotees and dignitaries for the significant event.

According to ANI, the confectioners are making about 1,200 kg of laddus in a day. They will have to make 45 tonnes of laddus for the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony.

"The laddus are being made using pure desi ghee and will be offered as prasad (offering) to Ram Lala on January 22," one of the confectioners told ANI.

A 1,008 hundi Mahayagya is also scheduled, where thousands of devotees will be fed. A 'tent city' is being set up in Ayodhya to house thousands of devotees who will be arriving in the temple town of Uttar Pradesh for the 'pran pratishtha' (consecration) ceremony.

Meanwhile, shops in Ayodhya have been stocked with merchandise related to the grand celebration ahead of the ceremony, and shopowners have claimed that their earnings have increased five folds.

"There has been a lot of change. Let the political parties do their politics but the fact is that there has been a major change and everyone is witnessing it including the shop owners and the local people... Our employment and income have increased. Earlier, the daily income in the shops was from Rs. 2000-2500 which has now increased to Rs. 10,000 to 15000. This may double in the coming time," says a local shop owner Madhusudhan Chauhan told ANI.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to preside over the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony at the Ram Temple on January 22. This event has attracted considerable global attention, and invitations have been extended to several VVIP guests from both India and abroad to attend the ceremony.

As per the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust, preparations are underway to accommodate 10,000-15,000 people for the grand ceremony.

Local authorities are also actively getting ready for the expected influx of visitors around the event. They are implementing heightened security measures and organising logistical arrangements to ensure a seamless and spiritually enriching experience for all attendees.
