RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat said leaving aside a few, most of the people who are against the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya are not opposing it openly as the deity is worshipped by the country's majority.

Ram Mandir-Babri Masjid dispute: The long-standing Ram Mandir matter is pending before the Supreme Court for its final resolution. Meanwhile, various supporting and non-supporting groups are further trying to heat up the environment as the next hearing on the long-standing Ram Mandir matter will take place on October 29. The Supreme Court for yet to announce its final verdict on the matter. Ahead the final resolution by the apex court, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat said leaving aside a few, most of the people who are against the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya are not opposing it openly as the deity is worshipped by the country's majority. "Even those who are in the parties that oppose Ram Mandir, cannot oppose it openly. Because they know that they are in power and crores of Hindus and a huge section of the nation are devotees of Ram," Bhagwat said. Bhagwat said while addressing a gathering on Monday, "Leaving aside a few people, those, who belong to the party opposing the construction of Ram Temple, cannot do that openly in the country because they know that whatever they will say, the majority Hindu community of the country considers Lord Ram as their deity. That's why they will not speak against the Ram Temple." On the other hand, Mahant Paramhans Das of Tapasvi Chavni, on Tuesday, began an indefinite fast to mount pressure on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to declare the date for construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya. The Mahant sat on dharna outside the Tapasvi Chavni and said that he was ready to lay down his life for the sake of the temple.
