ABP-Cvoter Exit Poll Date Time: The assembly elections for the five states will conclude today and people are eager to know who is likely to form the government in Punjab which has been experiencing a lot of political heat since last year.
The state went into a single-phase polling on February 20, 2022, with a voter turnout of nearly 72 per cent in 117 assembly seats. This is the lowest voting percentage compared to the three previous assembly elections.
The state witnessed a multi-cornered contest as Congress, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) in alliance with the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in coalition with the Punjab Lok Congress (PLC) and SAD (Sanyukt) and farmers’ outfit Sanyukt Samaj Morcha (SSM) had fielded candidates. The polls had the highest-ever 1,304 candidates in the fray.
