Punjab Cabinet Expansion: 10 AAP Ministers To Take Oath Today — Full List Here

Punjab Governor Banwari Lal Purohit will administer the oath to the ministers joining the Aam Aadmi Party-led Cabinet.

Chandigarh: Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government will form its Cabinet on Saturday.

The Cabinet expansion ceremony to induct the ministers will be held today at around 11 am in Chandigarh, news agency ANI reported.

Taking to Twitter, CM Mann announced the names of the ten ministers who will take oath today.

1. Harbhajan Singh ETO

2. Dr Vijay Singla

3. Gurmir Singh Meet Haier

4. Lal Chand Kataruchak

5. Harpal Singh Cheema

6. Dr Baljit Kaur

7. Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal

8. Bram Shankar (Zimpa)

9. Laljit Singh Bhullar

10. Harjot Singh Bains

The first meeting of the Cabinet will also be held today at 12.30 pm.

Rising from the ashes like the phoenix, AAP-led by CM Bhagwant Mann in Punjab registered an emphatic win in Assembly Elections last week, crushing the traditional players that ruled the border state for over seven decades. AAP recorded a stunning victory by bagging as many as 92 of the 117 seats of the legislative assembly.

Soon after taking charge of the Chief Minister's Office (CMO), Mann promised to work for pro-people policies. Punjab's 28th Chief Minister his officers and employees in a clear message that the people of the state have given a historic mandate and his government would work for pro-people policies.

A day after taking the oath, Mann announced to launch a mobile phone number on March 23, exclusively for the public to upload videos of officials demanding bribes for day-to-day work or indulging in malpractices.

He also urged the officers to display team spirit immaculately to make Punjab, the frontrunner state. He further said, "Our prime concern should be to make our state as real Punjab, not London, California or Paris".

"Corrupt officers have no place in my government and if any such complaint comes to my notice, then don't expect any sort of sympathy for such officers," he warned.

Mann also promised that his government would soon come up with a comprehensive action plan to generate tremendous job opportunities for our unemployed youth on top priority.
