PM Modi Shares Excerpt Of Dr BR Ambedkar’s Speech On the Occasion of Constitution Day
Constitution Day is celebrated on November 26 to mark the day of the formal adoption of the supreme legal document by the constituent assembly.
New Delhi: On the occasion of Constitution Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a portion from Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar’s speech from November 4, 1949, when the motion for adopting the draft constitution was moved.
“Best wishes to our citizens on Constitution Day. On this special day, sharing a part of Dr. Ambedkar’s speech in the Constituent Assembly on 4th November 1948 in which he moved a motion for the adoption of the Draft Constitution as settled by the Drafting Committee,” the PM wrote on his Twitter handle.

Constitution Day is celebrated on November 26 to mark the day of the formal adoption of the supreme legal document by the constituent assembly. This year, it will be celebrated in the central hall of the parliament, commencing with President Ram Nath Kovind’s speech at 11 AM. The event will also be attended by PM Modi.
The PM informed about attending the event via Twitter on the eve of Constitution day saying, “Tomorrow, 26th November will be marked as Constitution Day. It is a day to remember the exceptional efforts of those greats who made our Constitution. I would be attending 2 programmes tomorrow. The first one at 11 AM in Central Hall and the second at 5:30 PM in Vigyan Bhawan.”

On the occasion, Vice President, Venkaiah Naidu also tweeted, “My heartiest greetings to the citizens of our country on the 72nd #ConstitutionDay.
