PM Modi On Two-Day Visit To Gujarat After BJP Victory In 4 States. To Hold Road Show, Election Meetings
PM Modi will hold a rally of more than one lakh elected representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions at Ahmedabad's GMDC ground.
New Delhi: A day after the Bharatiya Janata Party won four out of the five states where elections took place in February and March, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit his home state Gujarat today. Elections in the state are to be held later this year.
On a two-day visit, PM Modi will reach Ahmedabad at 10 am from where he will hold a road show upto the BJP state headquarters in Kamalam, Gandhinagar. About 4 lakh people are likely to take part in the 10 km-long road show. On reaching Kamalam, Modi will interact with BJP MPs, MLAs, office bearers and state executive members, said a statement released by the Prime Minister's Office.
Later in the day, he will address a rally of more than one lakh elected representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions at Ahmedabad's GMDC ground.
Day Two Schedule
On the morning of March 12, second day of his trip, PM Modi will attend the convocation ceremony of the National Defense University as the chief guest. He will deliver the convocation address and will share the stage with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, reported ABP News.
After this, Modi will inaugurate the Khel Mahakumbh program in the evening. More than 47 lakh people have registered for this program.
Under the programmme, several sports event will be organised at more than 500 places across the state. According to the Gujarat government circular, Khel Mahakumbh has been declared a historic event under the Centre's Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav program.
