PM Modi Gets Standing Ovation At BJP Parliamentary Meet After Poll Stunner: Watch
PM Modi received a rousing welcome as he arrived at the BJP's Parliamentary meeting after the party swept three states at the recently concluded assembly polls.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was greeted with a standing ovation and 'Modi ji ka swagat' chants as he arrived at the at the first meeting of the BJP Parliamentary Party in Parliament's Winter Session in Delhi. He received a rousing welcome after the saffron party's mega poll win in the recently concluded state assembly elections. The party came back to power in Madhya Pradesh for the fourth term and topped the Congress governments in Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan.

The Prime Minister was felicitated by party chief JP Nadda as other MPs raised slogans lauding his leadership.
After the meeting, Union minister Pralhad Joshi said, "In the meeting, PM Modi said that the BJP has increased its strength by multiple times in Mizoram and Telangana along with Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and MP."
He also shared with the media an 'interesting fact' shared by the PM in the meeting. He said, "PM Modi shared an interesting fact today- While being in government when the Congress party faced elections 40 times in states, it got success only seven times. Whereas, Bharatiya Janata Party got a chance to seek repeat mandate 39 times and got success 22 times."
Sharing further developments from the meeting, Joshi, said, "The PM gave a call that only four castes exist -women, youth, farmers and the poor, and we have to work for their overall development."
The BJP's whopping victory in the three states has been largely credited to the leadership of PM Modi by several veterans of the party. Even in Telangana, where Congress won, the BJP saw an increase in the vote share and tally.
The party's parliamentary meeting is generally conducted every when week when Parliament is in session and includes all Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha members of the party. The meeting discusses issues related to the Parliament agenda and political campaigns among others.
