The Patna-Howrah Vande Bharat Express, which was among the nine trains flagged off by PM Narendra Modi on Sunday, is the second such semi-high speed train in Bihar. The first semi-high speed train to start operations in Bihar was the Patna-Ranchi Vande Bharat Express on June 27, 2023.
The train connects Bihar with West Bengal, and falls on a high occupancy route.
The Patna-Howrah Vande Bharat Express will run six days a week, except Wednesday. The train will travel 531 kilometres in six hours and 30 minutes, with two stops along the way.

Patna–Howrah Vande Bharat Express
Train number 22348 from Patna to Howrah will leave at 8 AM and reach Howrah at 02:35 PM. The fare for Patna–Howrah Vande Bharat Express is Rs 1,505 for the Chair car and Rs 2,725 for the Executive Chair Car. It will cover a distance of 535 kilometres.
