New Delhi: The result for class 10th Andhra Pradesh board exams were announced on Monday which recorded a pass percentage of 67.26 percent or 4,14,281 of the 6,15,908 students who appeared for the exam. The pass percentage came as a highlight as it was the lowest number of students who passed the exam in the state since 2007.

In 2007, the then united Andhra Pradesh had recorded a pass percentage of 73 percent in the state while this year it went down to 67.26 percent.

Exams for class 10th in the state were conducted from April 27 to May 9 this year after a gap of two years. In 2020 and 2021. All students were declared passed as the public examinations could not be conducted due to COVID-19 pandemic.

As per the report, low pass percentage was a result of realistic evaluation, said official sources. We ensured there were no malpractices whatsoever in the conduct of the exams and the evaluation was also done on a realistic basis. That has clearly reflected in the overall results," a top official of the School Education Department pointed out.
