Major Reshuffle Of Various Governors: Anandiben Patel Takes Over As Guv Of UP; Ram Naik Ousted

New Delhi: In a major reshuffle, President Of India on Saturday transferred and ousted the governors of various states. Anandiben Patel, Governor of Madhya Pradesh has been transferred and appointed as Governor of Uttar Pradesh,Whereas the current Governor of Uttar Pradesh Ram Naik has been ousted. Jagdeep Dhankhar has been appointed as Governor of West Bengal and Ramesh Bais as been appointed as the Governor of Tripura. Another important transfer has taken place in Bihar, where the current governor Lal Ji Tandon has been transferred and has been appointed as Governor of Madhya Pradesh. In place of Tandon, Phagu Chauhan has been appointed as the Governor of Bihar. Also, RN Ravi has been appointed as the new Governor of Nagaland.

As per a press release issued by the President house, the appointments will take effect from the dates they assume charge of their respective offices.
