Lakhimpur Kheri Violence: Union Minister's Son Ashish Mishra Hospitalised With Dengue
According to the ANI report, Ashish health worsened and he was admitted to the hospital within the jail premises.
New Delhi: Ashish Mishra, the prime accused in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case and son of Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra has been hospitalised as he is reportedly suffering from Dengue.
Ashish's health worsened and he was admitted to the hospital within the jail premises, ANI reported.
On Friday, Ashish Mishra was remanded in two-day police custody. However, later he complained of fever and his blood samples were sent for testing and on Saturday as per the medical report it was confirmed that he was suffering from Dengue.
After his condition deteriorated, Ashish Mishra was admitted to the jail hospital at 10 pm on Saturday.
Lakhimpur Kheri violence incident: Main accused Ashish Mishra, who is currently lodged in district jail has been shifted to a govt hospital due to suspected dengue, a senior jail official said his blood sample has been sent for confirmation of dengue.

It was for the second time that Ashish Mishra, arrested for his alleged role in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence which claimed eight lives, was remanded in police custody.
Earlier on October 9, after 11 hours of questioning, Ashish Mishra was arrested and later was remanded to police custody on October 11 with the remand period starting on October 12 and ending on October 15.
Meanwhile, UP police were able to arrest three more persons on Saturday in connection with the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case, taking the total number of arrests to 13.
On October 3, violence erupted in Lakhimpur Kheri after two SUVs allegedly ran over a group of anti-farm law protesters, who were demonstrating against the visit of Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya at Tikonia-Banbirpur road.
Eight people, including four farmers, were killed in the incident. The farmer leaders have alleged that Ashish Mishra was in one of the SUVs, which allegedly ran over the protesters.
