J&K: Masked Attacker Hurls Petrol Bombs At CRPF Camp At Srinagar's Saraf Kadal Area, Search Operation Launched

A masked attacker came near the camp of 23 Battalion CRPF camp located in Saraf Kadal area on late Friday evening and hurled a petrol bomb at it.

Srinagar: A masked miscreant hurled petrol bombs at the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp at the Saraf Kadal area of Srinagar on Friday evening.

The petrol bombs exploded a short distance away from the 23 Battalion CRPF camp in the Saraf Kadal area of downtown Srinagar.

According to the inputs available, an unidentified attacker came near the camp of 23 Battalion CRPF camp located in the Saraf Kadal area on late Friday evening and hurled a petrol bomb at it. He apparently tried to hit the target twice but failed.

The miscreant managed to escape after hurling the bombs. A team of police reached the spot soon after the incident and a search operation was launched in the entire area. 

Fortunately, no injuries have been reported in the incident so far and the situation in the area is said to be under control.

A CCTV footage of the act has surfaced and the police have said that it will help them nab the attacker.

No arrests have been made in the case. More information about the probe is awaited.
