J&K: Terrorist Killed, Two Others Injured In Operation Conducted By Indian Army At Shahpur
One terrorist was killed and two others were injured in an operation conducted by Indian Army at Jammu and Kashmir's Shahpur.
An Indian Army operation in Jammu and Kashmir's Shahpur killed one terrorist and injured two others. The Pakistani intruder was killed early on April 9 when Army troops foiled a major infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district, news agency ANI reported.

The infiltration attempt by three suspected terrorists was thwarted around 2.15 am in the Shahpur sector when troops guarding the LoC detected their movement and engaged them in a gunfight, news agency PTI reported a citing defence official.
Lt. Col Devender Anand, a Jammu-based Army PRO, said troops noticed suspicious movement near the border fence along the LoC in Poonch during the night of April 8 and April 9.
“On being intercepted, in the ensuing operations, one body was seen (lying near the scene of the firing) and the other intruders ran into the forest area. The cordon of the area has been established and a search operation is in progress (to arrest them),” the spokesperson was quoted as saying by PTI.
The Army suspects the presence of two more Pakistani intruders in the cordoned-off area, according to officials.

Jammu Police recovered a cache of arms and explosive materials from a package believed to have been airdropped by a drone from across the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir's Samba district last week on Monday. Three pistols, four bombs, six magazines, and 48 rounds were discovered in the package discovered in Vijaypur.
According to PTI, police believe the package was dropped by a drone from across the border. "...it appears that the weapons consignment has been dropped by drone," ASP Choudhary said. (from across the International Border).
