IMD Weather: Heavy Rain Alert In These States Over Next 24 Hours, SIGNIFICANT Warning For Delhi

IMD Weather Update: Heavy to extremely heavy rainfall is expected in the northwest Indian states of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu & Kashmir from July 14 to 18.

Weather Today: Rainfall is likely to be heavy to extremely heavy during the next few days due to the busy monsoon in various parts of the country. The monsoon trough, as reported by the Meteorological Department, is located south of its typical location at the western end. Coastal regions of West Bengal and Odisha, as well as the northwest Bay of Bengal, are expected to experience the formation of a low pressure area during the next 24 hours. From July 14 to 18, northwestern Indian states of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu and Kashmir will see heavy to extremely heavy rainfall as a result of these meteorological systems. Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Bihar will all see thunderstorms with significant rainfall from July 14 to July 19.

10 States: Heavy Rain Warning 

The Ghat regions of Goa, Gujarat, and Maharashtra in western India may get intense rainfall between July 14 and 16. It is anticipated that high winds of 40–50 km/h will occur during this time. Heavy rains are expected in Kerala, Mahe, Coastal Karnataka, and Lakshadweep in South Peninsular India between July 14 and July 19. A severe wind warning has also been issued. Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, and Manipur are among the states in Northeast India that are expected to see thunderstorms with light to moderate rainfall between July 14 and July 20. Rayalaseema, coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu have all been warned of hot and muggy weather from Monday through Tuesday.

Delhi Weather Report

Rainfall on Sunday night helped alleviate the muggy conditions in several areas of the nation's capital. A Red Alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department for the next several hours and Monday due to the possibility of further rain. According to the Meteorological Department's most recent forecast, light to moderate rain and thunderstorms could develop in some areas of Delhi-NCR as a result of clouds moving in from the southeast. The India Meteorological Department defines a red alert as a warning to stay vigilant. The agency has predicted that Monday will be overcast with moderate rain across Delhi. It is anticipated that the highest and lowest temperatures will be approximately 33 and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively, throughout this period.

There were thundershowers and light to heavy rain in various areas of Rajasthan. The monsoon's influence will keep the state's weather hot and muggy today. It might stay in the range of 26°C to 34°C. The southern and southeast regions are predicted to have heavy to extremely heavy rainfall. in the divisions of Kota, Udaipur, and Ajmer in particular. Moderate to heavy rains are also possible in western Rajasthan. Due to the thunderstorm and lightning warning, vigilance is required.
